Reset the crank to 10degrees, reset the dizzy so the points were just opening, re-assembled and hey presto

Didn't see much of you rtv'ing but the ccv was fun to lay out.

Are you going to Billing??

I am half tempted to go Sunday for a look see.

LOL, very wierd, I was setting out an RTV section, stopped the motor and got out to move the canes. When I got back in and turned the key there was nothing !

No ignition light, horn, lights, fuel pump or starter motor!

Strange, I checked all the fuses (have recently upgraded to an alternator and replaced the fuse box). All appeared OK.

Tried a spanner accross the starter switch terminals nada! Almost as if the battery was completely discharged or worse, failed.

Got djdommyp to trundle out with leads and a multi meter. That showed a nice healthy 12.8v accross the battery.

The we tested the Supply to the switch an it said zero. suddenly there were a few sparks and the fuel pump fluttered into life.

Turned out that tightening the terminals on the starter switch resolved it. Very bizarre.

On the bright side djDommy got his Disco stuck and had to be recovered by the 80. but he finally got his new rope dirty!

As C of C I didn't have time to take any photos, but it was a cracking good trial with 11 RTV and 2 CCV entries

They're the ones tread depth wasn't bad only for the off-roader just gotta fix a cheapo tread cutter I picked up a few weeks back and they'll be better than new!

Looks like it will be a good one!!

Won't make this one not a member and need an Mot ASAP!

Just spent this evening fitting spreader plates for the NATO hitch got new headlights as one of the old ones were starting to corrode and one was cracked. Welded a reinforcing plate to the rear x member for the spare wheel carrier. Will modify the wheel carrier later to use generic spares.

Removed the 4 pin diff from a 90 rear axle. Will try to swap out my locker and axle ends in the front for hd ashcroft shafts and the 4 pin tomorrow. Hen it's just MOT Remove roof rack and we are ready to play RTV!!
