3rd time now. And always the day after a good fast drive in the wet on a potholed P.O.S. bit of UK roadway.
Every time (so far) it has been the OSF ABS Sensor that needs replacing to clear the fault immediately. WHY? What is so special about the OSF wheel? :)
I would mess with it tomorrow but I have other plans and someone else has borrowed my Axle-stands to prop his 197 mustang up while he has the rear Axle rebuilt. :(

Would have thought bearing still good at Dans mileage?
Maybe just dirt in there on the teeth or sticky calliper perhaps would explain the playing up when wet. Have to get it up give OSF wheel good wiggle,
If you can get both wheels up the better, has to be some comparable difference between the two

OK, thanks to all responders, and apologies for the delay in getting back to you all.
I found a moment to hook up my Nanocom and it says "Front Right Sensor Short to Another 012 Times".
Clear it and it comes straight back. Just like last time and the time before that. :(
Unfortunately a mate has my HD axle stands down in Surrey and I don't fancy wiggling anything while just on a jack, so it will have to wait.
Can you flush the toothed ring area out with anything (i.e. does any flushing fluid/brake-cleaner drain out of there)? Last time I looked down the sensor tube I thought it was a bit greasy/gritty in there.
But twice already the fault has been immediately cleared with a brand new sensor, so it seems to be the sensors fail for some reason.

It could well be a dirty ring... Ooer..
If the sensor faults, it could be it doesn't read the ring as you say. Brake cleaner is good and compressed air as @RangeRoller dt says.

You could check to see if there is any voltage coming from the plug to the sensor and compare results with an other side. That would help to rule out system voltage. o_O
Also with the wheel off the ground and the ug unplugged, check the résistance of the sensor and see if it changes when the wheel is turned.
