TD5 oil leak by turbo

Hi all I've got an oil leak from the top breather hose that goes from the engine towards my turbo. It's covering my inner wing in oil see pics and I guess coming out pressurised seeing that it is covering the wing. Any ideas where should I start investigating the problem thanks in advance

hose or a crack in the in plastic fitting or a blockage in the intake fitting (from the breather ) going to the air intake
all engines breath and oil in suspension vapours do escape...... just that turbo engines breath more than a none turbo engine
this oil mixes with the EGR gases and makes a big mess to the internal intake to the engine

you can also purchase a cheap catch can this will catch aproxx 40 to 50 % of oil vapour before reaching the air intake

the plastic fitting on the air intake has a breather hole with a small baffle this could be blocked (not the breather hole but the baffle its self )

I have a catch can fitted to mine you will be surprised how much oil accumulates from each service ..I also had a leaking catch can and the mess was just like yours

I have over 300000 on the clock and I have noticed my breathing system getting heavier

Get a new Depression Control Valve (the plastic thing that says "TOP") - Genuine if possible but that is quite a lot of oil, it shouldnt be chucking that much oil out

I had alot of oil around my oil separator valve too as it started leaking when my engine was giving very bad blow-by and popping out the front cam seal from the head, it was so bad!

I've a Mann provent catch can now fitted after the fresh build to keep things all clean. Isn't really much oil in it yet after two services but everything is brand new so I'd hope there wouldn't be much in it lol.

Catch can is a good indication on the health of your rings etc too between services if it starts to get worse as your crankcase gets more pressurized

comparing a new engine to an old engine in breathing is different
my Td5 has little over 3000 k on the clock blow by is noticeable ..but never actually noticed any difference from when I purchased the vehicle when it had 2000 k on the clock when I installed a catch can
most cheap catch cans only work 40 to 50 % a good modified catch can works to 60 to 70 %
the provent filter uses a material or paper type filter media eventually this filter will need to be replaced (just added another filter to the shopping list )

all engines do breath regardless how new... the breathing system is also designed to allow moisture to escape as well as allows the case to expel air from the piston movements
yes older engine do breath more ..also results in more carbon to the engine oil also

a half decent catch can with an EGR delete will save future issues
