Td5 manual/auto engine differences

Hi All, I have for my sins, just bought an incredibly clean td5 90 on a 54 plate with a 15P engine which is FUBAR . Can those of you who are td5 experts please tell me if an automatic Disco engine will fit. Also I have seen a couple of 16P engines for sale, are these a later version, are they different in any way ? Any help gratefully recieved, many thanks Andy

i'm not a Td5 expert but i can tell you that:

afaik any Td5 engine will fit instead of other, no matter if it's 10, 15 or 16P, you will just have to code the injectors into the existing ECU. the auto or manual thing is relevant only if you want to swap ECU's
