HI guys I know this has been done to death but mine is a strange one and I can't find any info on it.
OK, Td5 on the facelift 03 plate high miles 200k+
Oil level started to rise so I changed the seals on the injectors with the £35 set of seals which seemed to cure it for about 800 miles then it started to rise again so I changed them again for the £3.50 set again it seemed to stop it but after a few hundred miles same as.
So off came the cover and out came the injectors and I sprayed the injector housing with crack penatrant spray however nothing to show and could see no cracks.
So after new seals cheapo set it has run a week and not gone up on the oil until yesterday the wife was towing the horse and it has now started to climb again.
So I've just had the cover off again and put 6 bar of air pressure down the fuel supply line to the head and watched around the injectors for signs of any diesel bubbling but nowt showed up.
It starts on the button no smoke no power issue runs and ticks over fine.
So how can I tell if it's the head, injectors or seals could it be the fuel pump is blowing the seals by over pressure? any way forward or advice would be great guys.
Tia regards Baz
