As said earlier I'm thinking ****ty remap thats caused it, I know a lot on VW GTi's that mess with the vehicle, my mates one is a bit of a problem sometimes. If it goes on the brink it over fuels massively causing dramatic MPG drop but thats about it
whats with the law breaking post then ?

The waste gate is moving with pliers, although not easily. How freely should it be going back and forth?

The map supposedly gives more horsepower and torque.

Understood, regarding speed, vehicle type, speed limits, don't speed and any other advice relating to my driving habits.

I have sold the defender and 75mph is the norm on the highways here.

If there was some type of limp mode what would be the best way to try to reset it? Unplug the ecu and battery and plug it back in?

In the interest of getting the "Holier than thou" clan off your back where is "here"?

Here for me is Poland and the speed limit is 140 kmh so I could happily drive at 87.5 mph and not be breaking any laws, sh1tting myself in the Disco and totally amazed and deafened, but not breaking any law:rolleyes:

Wow! 85mph in a 90! Mental. That's like launching a dustbin lorry into space. I can't imagine doing that in mine. She seems happiest at about 55-60mph.

Have you checked you are getting full throttle if it drives fine up to 65mph?

I am getting full throttle. I actually checked this morning before I saw this post. It is seemingly the exact same up until 65mph.

I am going to recheck the wastegate as I now have a feeling it is getting stuck.

I am also waiting on the spare ecu to test it which my friend should loan me tomorrow.
