Hi
Here's the latest of my increasing number of posts ref my 1986 Ninety - 200Tdi. Oh no, not him again!
So I had a reconditioned LT77 gearbox from Beaumont fitted (by a proper mechanic) in the last 2 months. All forward gears working well, however reverse gear is tricky. Gear lever goes over to the left side fine, goes forward but you have to shove it with all your might to get it into a final sweet spot where it selects reverse. If you don't, you get a dreaded crunch. New clutch fitted at the same time. Mechanic says that it's not the plunger as this only affects sideways selection. Is it likely to free up in time, is there something I can do or do I need to talk to Beaumont?
Cheers
