Hiya people this afternoon ive been trying to get my cat box off , i have take then crossmember part off as well as all the nuts and bolts to the pipe but i cant get it through the small gap! do i need to take the bar below the sump off ?

The down pipe and box will just drop on the floor, after you release the fixings to the manifold and to the middle exhaust section. You can't pull it out through the engine compartment. All exhaust components are fitted from underneath, rather obviously:eek:
 
I havnt tried it through the engine compartment yet.... i release the nuts from the manifold and turbo and from the mid pipe but it didnt drop down the head the the pipe seems to big for the gap ?
 
Well my Haynes manual states:
Disconnect the front prop shaft from the axle and then remove the engine undershield.

Didn't think that was necessary, but that's what the book says.....
 
I will try all these things tommorow ! got a bit dark today and my workshop is about as well lit as a dark room , i will remove the propshaft and give it some!
 
Once upon i time i didnt know to let the anti roll bars down 5 minute job becomes 1 hour job of trying to work out how to get the pipe down!
