Clear lenses LED amber indicators flashing white/light pink!
Been fitted for about 7 years now, I guess they just fade over time.
New ones arrived to day, so fitting at weekend, I wondered what my man at the MOT garage was on about, he said you should have orange indicators, I said they are just clear lenses, he said nope they are white must be amber (I thought he was talking about the lenses!) I said ok ill fix em he passed me truck (cos its minto and looked after and he trusts me) was not until today i see what he means! Pics to follow its too windy n cold.

Finally got round to stripping the cross member i removed to change the tank guard, going to etch prime n paint. Poxy eco freindly stripper takes ages...
Got heated seat wiring and switches still to fit, pop cross member and tow bar back on and the tucks sorted for the winter.

Just been so busy with house, new composite garage door fitted, now draft free, and been building a monster veranda, need it weathered in for the snow etc.

70/R16 Terrafirma Dakar wheels

I need best tyres for SNOW /WET / TARMAC I have around a 800m of unmade road then a 100m steep unmade hill to my drive,

Its a right giggle in the snow and a mixture of mud/ scalpings/clay and poo

Coopers or General Grabbers?
Wot's the best size for that wheel?

I have 7.5/16 Michelin zxl on wolf rims, at mo which are good but like football boots on pavement in wet, straight line no stopping..........at all.....

In short.. feck knows! I've only run ko2s on disco and fender. Fender had general grabbers when I had it but was middle of summer and only had em on about 2 weeks lol

Steering Column Swap Out

FFS Terrafirma replacement part was a gnats cock shy on the main pentagon shaft cut out for locking bolt,:mad::mad::mad::mad:
Wasted half an hour before I worked it out. SO popped on the A Team music, and powered up the gay dating app, a few sparks later all good.

My new favourite fashion accessory, don't like the vinyl or latex gloves, tried various versions of the the gorilla gloves etc.
But these are the MUTZZ NUTZZ, £9.99 frum Screwfux.
Warm n toasty paws, padded so no more burny exhaust pipe hand, and fingers n fum free for fiddlin, perfect!

Original Land rover heated seat elements fitted, swapped out my old WAECO ones.
Hooked them up on test rig, they draw 6.5 amps in total, and are very toasty.
Need new seat squabs n bolsters, but that can wait.
Never really liked heated seats, had them in my SL made me feel like I wazzed myself.
But in the truck they are essential due to the **** poor heater.

Looks a good mod mate, why's your heater so pants? Mine's awesome apart from standard foible of it being just off or face-burny-on and no in between

Dunno always been like it, after about 15-20 mins its toasty but until then its proper cold!

heater matrix is clear, valves working, no leaking air, engine just takes ages to get hot.
Termostat is fine etc.
What you been up to sorteed yer truck yet?

Ahh mine takes a good 10mins to warm through to be fair. Just diesel init.

No further forward no funds or time but it's running sweet.

Met @Broke Again the other day and he let me have a good look/drive of his amarok.....

i been looking at a 1969 ford pick up...
i do like the idea of the Amarok but we are going for a Toureg as a family runaround instead, i just cant deal with the blank n plain interior in the:rolleyes: Amorok, and they are way over priced, also is not as big as it looks, next to other picks ups its a bit weeny! have you seen the new merc pick up OMG!

Based on the new navara ain't it? Looks a beast. V6 amarok would be nice but out of reach on price lol. The 2.0 is dear yeah but I think we're gonna struggle with the defender goin forward, using caravan long distances. Also maybe ain't got time or space to maintain it like it deserves

yep hope merc sort the Spanish chassis rot!
My pal has an american pick up, 12 foot bed, 4wd a/c etc around £3K and a doddle to work on!
