2005 td4 120K generally runs OK.
Been idling badly and fuel economy reduced recently so had had the injectors checked, two faulty so repaired. Refitted this evening and the bloody thing won't start. Turns over, lift pump running. Can't see any fuel leaks or anything out of the ordinary.
Fitted an EGR bypass while I was at it and also cleaned loads of oily / sooty gunk from the air box and inlet tracts. Cleaned the turbo boost pressure sensor as it looked like it was about to clog with the black gunk of doom.
The fuel high pressure sensor is connected fine. Checked all four injector electrical connectors, all fine.
Even connected a second battery just in case it wasn't quite spinning over fast enough but no change.
Wondered if the injectors hadn't seated properly and somehow compression wasn't high enough to kick over but I can't hear or feel any air escaping past the injectors while its being cracked.
Am at a complete loss and its snowing and I need to get to work tomorrow. Any ideas?
Plan is to take it all off and recheck everything tonight - in the dark on the drive - in the snow.
