lolI picked up this 2002 TD4 with 115k miles for only £950 so not overly worried about harming it while having fun. I know the bigger wheels and off roading will probably result in a new clutch at some point, not to mention the body damage but fun must be had!
As for the body lift, I saw a thread where someone made a lift themselves, now that is an interesting thought.
A D3 is very high up my 'wants' list but not at the kind of money they need both for buying and running.
Sorry mate, no idea what it is like now. I sold it a few months ago.Holy thread resurrection batman! The new toy has a crunchy 3rd gear so hoping ATF flush will help. Just wandering how your box is getting on on the hands of the wife?

BTW after the initial flush I put more ATF into it, I figured it was lovely and smooth with ATF so why change it. I'll never know if that was the right choice though.
Shouldn't do any harm and if it works than Happy Days.Errr, Just remembered my VW LT35 workshop van has a bit of a crunch when changing up into second...Just wondering if the ATF 'trick' might help with that issue? Nothing ventured nothing gained but it IS German after all...
i use dexron 2 or 3 from local motor factors ,and have done for a long while, if the one your using has helped gear change stick with that ,different oils effect how baulk ring can grab and clean oil from the gear cone, if yours works its ok
