TD 5 back to springs

I understand you can put springs on the rear of a 2001 Y plate TD5, instead of the air suspension.
Can anyone confirm this.
Swaping an axel is not a problem if need be, but its all the electrics that i fear could cause a problem.
Anyone addvise.
Also could anyone tell me about cylinder head problems, iam told its not unusual to have to fit a new one

yep -can be done - you can do it yourself but ecu has to be re-programmed so you need someone with diagnostics.

don't know where you are but this place in Birmingham does it for a TD5 for £225 (inc all fittings & ECU re-programmed) - seems a good price to me
