That's what I thought.

Just took the old one off and you can see the coolant has been in between the plastic and the metal. Must not have been tight enough.
New one ordered and will Hylomar it up tomorrow when it arrives!

Thank wammers.

Remove the throttle body, then turn it over and you'll see 3 screws, remove them, replace the gasket and reassemble...;)

Well, the last one was from there...and that was put on in June/July.

Gonna be doing the Hylomar thang this time round but I presume the island ones are shoite?

Put the Hylomared gasket on the Hylomared plate and put a bead of Hylomar around the inside of the gasket to seal the metal part of it. Leave until solvent evaporates and fit to Hylomared throttle body, leave after assembly for an hour before filling coolant. If done properly it will never leak..

It has arrived.

Looks like I'll be using the old plate but the new gasket. New place has arrived with an obvious knock that's deformed the metal - would be pointless installing that one!

As this is only to aid cold starting/running in extreme cold climates to prevent iceing effect had any one actually noticed a difference in there engine with the TBH connect and then disconnected ??

Mines been bypassed long before my ownership and its a popular mod

I've been up north in extreme winter conditions before and things do freeze up. Not talking arctic but easily -15 at times to the point wipers weld to the windscreen while driving and ice forms on the headlights.

If it's there...I like it to be functional and working. I'm sad like that.
