Hi All,

I have just purchased a Suzuki Jeep SJ410 1990 model its in original
condition with hard top weight color, now I want to make it a good
looking jeep and to get ideas I need to see pictures of already made
Suzuki jeeps.

I will appreciate if you can forward me links where I can find Suzuki
Jeeps pictures.

Regards,

Khurram

No you didn't... suzuki has NEVER made a JEEP.... they make SUVEE'S
(pronounced sue-vee, not s.u.v)

Don't confuse your wanna be JEEP with a real one ...

If you look in google under 'Suzuki' Samurai or whatever it is you have
you should find lots of websites with photos.

You wont find any 'Suzuki Jeeps' out there, they don't exist.

A Jeep is an American vehicle, not Japanese.

There are some off road 'Jeep' shots over on
alt.binaries.pictures.autos.4x4 right now.

In much of the world, "jeep" is the generic word for this
type of vehicle. Sort of like "coke" for cola, "xerox"
for photocopy. When you arrange your rental car,
you can insist on it being a "real jeep" all you want, but
when you get there, it's probably going to be a Kia.

Even more likely in southern Europe.....A Suzuki!!
Kind regards,
Erik-Jan.

Not that anyone who would call a Suzuki a jeep or a kia a jeep deserves a
history lesson, but JeeP comes from the G.I slang for the General Purpose
Vehicles of WWII "GP'' . These GP's were originally built by Bantam (soon
afterwards it was bought by Willis. The GP's were built by almost every
North American car/truck/train mfg. during WWII all under contract (of the
Government's, built to the original Bantam vehicle). After the war Willis
(or Willis-bantam) started marking the Civilian General Purpose (CGP), but
shortened the name too Civilian Jeep (remember jeep= slang for GP),

Hence noway a Suzuki, kia, Honda or Toyota can be called a Jeep... they are
Suvee's NOT JeePs.

Oh well I can see this is like arguing with a 4 year old, Have it your way,
call everything you want a jeep, those of us who own JeePs know better and
have higher then a grade 3 level of comprehension.

One last thing... My GMC truck can it also be called a JeeP ? Its only
2wd and I have used it many times for "traveling over rough terrain "

Outside of the US almost all 4wd drive vehicles are called jeeps. If you want
a Jeep™ you need to ask for a "Chrysler jeep". Like it or not, it's something
you need to "comprehend". <g>

Here is your sense of humor ?
I liked [syn: landrover] in that phrase.
Kind regards,
Erik-Jan.

Sorry I meant:
Where is your sense of humor ? off-course.

OK, all said and done. I'm not sure but sometimes the Japanese marketing
groups take a proven product and adopt it to their needs. While I'm not
saying a Samurai is anything like a CJ (Toyota did a better job there), the
Samurai models start with SJ as in SJ 410 and SJ 413. There has been talk
that the SJ stood for Suzuki Jeep but I have no true reference to this.

Besides, to the Sammy owners out there, this reference to Suzuki Jeep is
equally insulting to them. The Samurai is a very capable off roader and I've
seen more Sammys pull CJs out of a situation than CJs pulling Sammys. Yeah
the Jeepers all make fun of the little wannabes (just add water and that
might grow into a jeep), most are very impressed when they see their 1st
Sammy wheel.

I was quite impressed when I took my '75 CJ5 across a flooded Fountain
Creek here in Colo. Springs, and the Sammy that tried to follow me across
floated downstream instead. Fortunately he lodged on a sand bar before
he floated too far...all the white paint was sanded off his rims from
spinning the tires while trying to get unstuck from the sand bar.
