Suspicious looking 300tdi green defender 90 in Surrey/ gumtree

Found this tonight.

LANDROVER DEFENDER 90 COUNTY 1997 BREAKING ENGINE GEAR BOX SEATS WINDOW TRIMS WHEELS in Surrey, London | Used Land Rover for sale | Gumtree.com

Selling everything, the engine which claims to be fine and chassis too, looks in decent nick...so why sell for parts ?
And no licence plate on the add too !

Anybody else think it looks a bit odd ?

Just got this answer back

I brought it with no Id ,and I thought I would get original Id from dvla but no .so it's got to be put on a q plate ,witch I'm not going to do so*

Car is/was listed on ebay and he said same story.

I'm sure they don't Q plate um anymore, they get an age related plate but registerd on logbook some how.

It seems legit that someone bought a Landy with no ID?

To me that sounds like he bought a stolen Landy.
