i need help on my disco 3 my suspension had dropped down and all air had come out someone tried fixing it but only managed to get the back up on of road height leaving the front down then he couldnt get it back down again no controls work for height and of road adjustment any help would be grateful

have u got diagnostics at all plse as indeed as mentioned ur really be chasing ur tail without one
if the light has gone out where the raise and lower lever is it means it’s gone to hard lockout

hi thank you for your help had codes read 2 times saying needs new pump got a good Second hand pump when we took off old pump someone has converted it to a disco 4 pump any way put new pump on disco 3 and still not working not lifting up or down need help than you jamie

did u bench test ur compressor before fitting it please being second hand, if u have an hitachi one fitted and the replacement is an AMK ur need a CCF software update , also check the relay is ok
check fuse F26 and F3 in the engine bay and ensure u have the pipes fitted correctly
can use a multimeter on the compressor connector to ensure u have voltage , also ensure the lights are lit on the raise / lower switch inside the cabin, if not will need a code reader to reactivate the EAS

That was std repair as D3 pump was superceded by D4 pump.
I would be suspect of any 2nd hand pump.
You will need to post the codes, as a code may not actually be generated by the part at fault, ie the code is what the computer can see, but thay may not be the real fault.
For example compressor getting hot and slow to build up air, could be a tired compressor or a hole in the air tank causing the compressor to run for to long.
It is the live data that will be the key.
Personally I would buy Gary aka @gstuart a beer or two and ask him to plug in his IID tool.
