Wasn't there talk of pay and play this Sunday at Brick Kiln ?? Also like Carpy's Idea of Salisbury Plains !!
 
right - thats one that needs organising. got bundles of maps from that area. might just organise that for a weekend in june, because they look outstanding.

Be aware that if you want to do Salisbury Plain then the army can close entire areas off for playing on so you could get disappointed. There are a few locals down that way on here so it's worth posting to find out when it's closed off and how to find out.

Def agree you have to do your homework with the plains.
Did Salisbury last year. It's worth checking out the MOD website to find out when they are doing their manoeuvres. Although, you could still get caught out as the army decided to do a impromptu at their training village just as we were driving past. Yep, there were snipers diving around us and tanks by the side of the road :eek: We got out sharpish just to hear guns and tanks going off in the distance.

Alot of training operations exercises are done on the quiet. Plus no single person knows all operations and exactly what days dispite what they believe they are told by the higher ranked. They can turn up and use it as and when with no explaination. Jai

I will be in Florida, annoying NASA in a C-152. :cool: I apprechiate the invite though, would definatly have been up for it.

I'll PM everyone meeting details later, I think with pay and play you get enough action in a morning so that you can call it quits at lunch if you have somewhere to go, but we'll probably stay all day if there is enough to do, I'm not really sure as I've never been to Brick Kiln...

Pintsize is there enough there to keep us occupied all day ?
