Ive also got a diff to sort out, but its not as bad as i thought, some of the horrible noises and juddering was caused by a dodgey hand brake. Ive swithced that over wit hthe one on my old T-box and its working lovely.

Still got to get the engine out for that oil seal though, once again i find myself in need of an engine crane. I should probaly buy one. Or perhaps i can build one....hmmm....

Just drained the diff and taken the cover off. All my EP80 has escaped and been replaced by muddy water, its all rusty in there!

ooo lovely

you know how when i gave you a ride in my motor you said it didnt have much poke, which was true well now....

. si mon came round earlier and we had a little tweak. Found out that only one of carbs was working so was doing all the work. adjusted the mixture and idle etc. Then went onto the igntion. Advanced it a bit and now...wow, what an improvement

I saw you on friday just past tescos... May i suggest some sun glasses when drive with the windscreen down? Hahaha.. stops all the flies going in your eyes

Yea shold be better than wat it was, it was like my old TD engine when i had a ride. Maybe youll get better mpg as well with it tuned properly. Well, when i say properly, perhaps i mean race tuned, seeing as it was simon who did it. So maybe not so good mpg after all.

But who cares about mpg when you dont have to pay road tax right?

Were going to core 4x4 on sunday but kids football doesnt finish till 1.30 at guilford so we are going to do some lanes over alton and basinstoke way after if you are intrested rich on sunday

Well it's not really that bad, but the rear panel damaged where the capping got pulled out, and to fix it properly is a new panel, capping, finding my elusive paint colour etc.

I took in to the panel beaters that the insurance said to, and they said I have to bring it back when the insurance rep is around as it is questionable wether they will repair it because it's a C Reg (and they only care about book value, not actually value of car) :crazy:

Knew I should have got classic car insurance....

Anyway the insurance will probably offer me a cash settlement towards repair, and so I figure while it's off the road will be a good time to get it a 200tdi engine and painted a different colour ready for visiting countries that hate the British Army !

I of course want to paint in Nato Matt Black, cause it will look soooo evil, but is the heat going to kill me ???

Thoughts suggestions for a new colour here :

True, but I want to add my own character by doing something stupid myself, it's not acceptable for other people in big ass lorries to drive by and add character to my landy, know what I mean
