Sunroof seals

Discovery 2 year 2000, does anyone know if there are two types of sunroof seals fitted in the disco? I have just resealed the frames to the roof and thought i would change the seals while they were out.
The one supplied by LR has a ridge each side of the lower part of the seal which looks like it should fit in grooves in the seal channel, the channel on my sunroofs (electric) is a straight sided u type section.

The old seal which didn't look that old was held in by a dumdum type stuff and fell out when i removed the glass, I dare not try to remove the front one to look at the seal in case it wont go back.
The seal supplied is part no EEQ 500010

There's only one seal as far as I know, we changed ours last year but still have the old ones in bags at work, I'll check the numbers later.

It is not intuitive how the seals fit in the channel, and the channel itself has no lips to hold the seals, they sit in there purely by friction. One of ours stayed in by itself but one had to have a spot of superglue on two corners.

I found that doing one at a time enabled me to refer to the other one as a guide to how it fitted.

Thanks for that, I tried the super glue trick along with fasting and prayer. As the seal is about four inches to small I might try putting it in tension to stretch it a bit before trying again.

My seals are shaped with lips and held in a shaped channel so would need a flat blade to push in and locate the lip so looks like glue is not required.
As my sunroofs are always closed I haven't had the need to touch the seals.

Perhaps D1 seals are different.

That doesn't sound right, the new seals are slightly undersized but not 4", I'd doubt that you'd be able to hold those in easily.
