Stuck in the Isle of Lewis! Pics

Looks like a spade and mattock job to me. From the pictures it looks like the chassis and axle will be resting on the relatively firm turf and the wheels are just spinning in the soft stuff beneath. So it's diggable, but it's going to take a while to get all the earth out from under the chassis so it's not fouling.

In the absence of waffle boards, I've had good experiences with rolls of wire netting. Anything from chicken wire to square mesh stock fencing.

I'm too far away to be much use I'm afraid, but I just want to say to the OP have courage, it'll come out with a bit of patience and elbow grease. It'll give you a good appetite for your Hogmanay dinner.
 
Got a local dude with a tractor and a winch to pull it out - piece of ****!

Looks like you were out the west side? Glad you got it sorted, would have come out to help but didn't get a message or anything about it.

Probably be a long time now until another LZIR call on Lewis!

Aye dude, way down past Uig at Mealasta! Might buy a winch because of it, every cloud and all that :D
