yea i know it isnt actually 'off roading' as it isnt technicaslly off road as the green lanes and by ways are just unsurfaced roads but u know what i mean. well i can see im not getting anywhere here, as u lot are a bunch of touchy old women going through the freekin menopause, how about we start again and do things ur way then, what do i do to do this forum bollox properly? did u say introduction forum???

Can you read a map?? & I don't mean a road atlas. when you arrive at a joining of 2 or more lanes, will you know which one to take?? Can you tell the difference between a footpath or bridalway and a Byway?? If you can't you'll never complete Strata without getting lost.. It's not a drive to the supermarket
Have you got recovery gear? do you know how to use it??

i can read a map, a bit. this is what i wanted to know, is it really that tricky? i understand its not a drive to the supermarket but have never done it so dont really know what to expect. and yes i have all recovery gear and quite a modified disco so it should do the job.

Starting to look a little better now.
there are miles of green lanes arround the country, the trouble is many of them are getting closed through people having total disregard for them and tearing them up, this is the reason any decent green laner will not give this info willy nilly to some one they do not know.
There is a huge wealth of information regarding green lanes to be had from members on here but not in the way you are asking.
