Strange occurrence with audio system

hi everyone, Great to be a member of this forum. I have just bought a 2005 vogue and after washing it two days ago, the audio system won't stay on a station and cuts in intermittently. The CD player won't play and and you can hear the disc loader operating. The main display flashes the cd, radio, sat nav icons. Sat nav seems to work ok. Tried removing neg cable from battery for 2 mins but to no avail. Can anyone help please. Thanks

Welcome.

As far as I'm aware, the Range Rovers that had carpets as opposed to vinyl fitted were never meant to have the cab pressure washed out

It could be that the washing and the electrical glitch are what is known as coincident failures. That is, not related to each other.

I have never had a Range Rover, but from my reading they are very prone to electrical and electronic glitches.
As dieseldog suggests, I would post in The RR section about that.
