If injector is dripping how is it struggling to start or is emptying the fuel out of the pipe.and then needing to refill the pipe

i'd still check the fuel as it's the cheapest and easiest test; but the injectors do sound worn.

apart from dripping, the spray pattern could be off. iirc new replacement ones are meant to be crap and you are better to service the old ones.

The only thing on the fuel side i havent changed is the fuel pipe n the fuel pump. Would these be worth changing before i change injectors

Yes.

They can chafe and wear such that they leak, without looking as if they're leaking, because they can admit air into the system without losing diesel, especially if one of the plastic clips holding them to the chassis has been broken or the pipe is out, or half out, of it.

Thats what im thinking paul d.

Do i just buy a reel of pipe and heat up end and slide over the connections or do i buy the actual pipes for 300tdi

Yeah, length of pipe, re-use the tanged connectors if the threaded bits are good enough.

Be careful warming them up .. even a small flame only needs to be waved close by ... they go from solid to melted in a blink .. ;)

We just did a few for my Disco engine into Defender a couple of nights ago .. ;)

Can't recall, but there are two sizes .. guessing I'd say 5mm and 7mm but I can't be sure so you're better off taking a short piece of each to a motor factors.
