Sticky Sunroof

Hi

I have a 94' TDi. When I uss the electric sunroof (front or back) the glass only comes up so far and stops. However, if I put some pressure on the glass pushing up before pressing the button she opens fine...frustrating and a little dangerous!

Any ideas anyone?

Had the same thing on mine, a little WD40 on the runners sorted it out

you'd be better using some silicon spray.it has a better effect than wd40

Good point, it would be better and should last longer

ok, daft question time. Whats the difference and can you give me a name of some silicon spray?....I mean WD40 is, well....WD40 !

wd40 is a moisture repellant, silicon is a lubricant. i can't tell you any brand names cos i don't know ..i just go to the motorist shop or hardware shop and buy a tin of silicon. you should get it in halfords or b&q.
