Do you deffo have fuel coming out the pump bleed valves?

deffo got fuel without air coming up to the pump bleed valves when primed with the lift pump and the stop lever isnt connected to the cable only the return spring so theres no chance thats on either

just waiting for another break in the weather then im back out at it again

You still haven't mentioned if your glow plugs are working?

Also from drivers side..the square reservoir bit at 6 o'clock.. mines at 5ish and it is hitting the stops.

Take a picture and try retarding the pump a bit.

the plugs are working bang on speshuly now ive made new wires for them and the pump is deffo at 6 and bang on the timing mark

today i spent the entire day checking and clearing absolutely all the pipes replacing evry copper washer i could find and making damn sure all the flange nuts are fully sealed aswell

and now she runs for about 15 seconds before cutting out

but on the bright side were getting somewhere with it

if it runs and conks, the timing aint that much of an issue.
there still be air somewhere.

gonna have a look at the lift pump diaphragm and internal seals tomorrow to see if theres anything untoward there such as its letting air in or getting some kind of return flow to it

jc had a similar prob with mine.. it ended up being a dodgy pipe from the fuel tank to the pump it had a tiny hole that didnt lead fuel but did suck air... was pulling my hair out too... good to see you back at it tho.. wish i could get out to finish mine..

didnt get much chance to do anything with it today due to the beautiful brittish weather god im sat here climbing the walls twitching with anger coz now its gone bloody dark

I admire your attitude with this whole engine issue. It must be massively frustrating after the rest of the rebuild. Hopefully you'll have a breakthrough soon.

We'll keep the champaign on ice ready for the cyber celebrations. In the meantime make sure your battery is on charge (Landy and camcorder)!

sshhhhh yer grassin bugger the missus will end up figuring out i spent £120 on a brand new heavy duty battery for the fooker ( retail ferupy yer know )

What size battery did you go for? I was looking at some in halfrauds and they ain't cheap for these soot chuckers

110 a/h 750a 12v it throws the engine round like a mini plugged into the mains
