Stamford / Peterborough Green Laning?

Dont suppose anyone knows of places to go near Peterborough / Stamford that are OK to go? We used to go anywhere we felt like (within reason of course) in our Suzuki SJ...but that was so light it tore up less mud than the average squirrel...so any ideas of where we can go without offending people in our Series 2?

right you can get on the viking way in Buckminster, just south of Grantham and it will take you up to notts, i would take another landy though cos some of the lane is wet and muddy.
you should be ok this time of year.if you ask in Buckminster for the viking way every body knows of it.....good luck bud.

Viking way... that sounds like a really good day out. Is it all still open to traffic?

I did the Viking way about 6 weeks ago its open from buckminster through to woolsthorpe then it is restricted to motor vehicles for a few miles then i joined it again at sedgebrook. Its a bit overgrown in a few places but still driveable if you dont mind a few scratches....
