Hay guys bought a nice p38 2.5 diesel and it’s failed it’s mot on the srs light so after much searching on the forum I seen all about the connection issues with the yellow connectors so went to go try that and I don’t have anything to plug the connector into under the driver seat the connector was just sitting there lol, it looks like someone has swapped the seats out for older ones isthere a way of bypassing this or is theresomething I can buy that missing can’t find any photos of what’s ment to be there lol cheers in advance

What year is your motor and have the seats got five stitch panels or three.
Not sure what you mean so added a photo of seats, it’s a 1999

The seats you have are the three panel ones which were fitted to the early models but 99 may be on the change over,
the early one only had airbags in dash and stearing wheel, latter had side air bags in the seats

when you turn the ignition on do you get the red brake light come on next to the srs light as if that bulb fails the srs one will stay lit.

if the bulb is ok and its got early non air bag seats you can get resistor to plug in that fool the system .

FOC but the postage would be about £7 from here, you would need to be able to solder the wires.
You could just buy a 1.5 ohm 2 watt 1% resistor which might be cheaper.
Perfect mate thanks for the info I’ll grab some off eBay and give it a go lol
