Squeal like a pig

I've a horrendous sqealing coming from the drive belt area of my 110 300tdi and it's more irritating than a nagging wife. The belt's been changed and the squealing stopped for about half a day. All pulleys have been checked and cleaned to no avail. The local landy fixit man is bemused. Could it be that the auto tensioner isn't doing its job properly? Can anyone help before I drive the thing over a cliff?

Have a look at [ www.difllock.com/magazine] it sounds like the rubber gasket on your tensioner is gone letting to two metal parts rub togeather.
