I have just relocated from NZ and have a 2002 V6 ES that I am bringing with me. I need to convert the speedo from KPH to MPH to register the vehicle in the UK. Have looked at a couple of options: CAN bus pulse converters (expensive and no one seems to programmed one for this model yet) and replacing the cluster (requires recoding the dash and probably the keys). It seems that the most simple (and cost effective) option might be to purchase a used cluster on eBay and simple swap the speedo face plates (I'm not bothered by the odometer incrementing in kilometers and I would prefer to keep the car as original as possible). The UK spec dual MPH / KMH scale lines up with my NZ / AUD KMH only scale. Anyone know if this swap is possible? Has anyone disassembled their dash cluster? Also any tips on how to remove the cluster would also be appreciated. Thanks.

LOL!

It ought to be fairly simple to get a replacement on eBay or elsewhere.

Expect that the removal is covered in the Haines manual.

The kmh & MPH speedo dial angles are different. The pack has to be coded as a MPH otherwise you will get speedo reading errors.
