sounds about right for horsey folks, calls for help then wants it doing at their convenience, you made it sound the horses wouldnt see the night out, and peeps on here are willing to throw their evening up and risk there landys to help in something that isnt important now???? But we will keep you on standby??? typical

I'm more concerned about the 4 1/2 ft of flowing water to cross, how long is it?
Maybe a farmer with a tractor would be better??

By the sounds of it and in all seriousness, the use of a raft of some description to get the hay across would be more use than a vehicle.

if it's an accurate description thats a lot of moving water , i bow to greater experience in this instance .

after the previous posts we are worried about risking other peoples vehicles. if there is a risk of damaging someones vehicle i would rather wade through bale by bale. it is not that we are being inconsiderate or that we do not appreciate the offers of help because we really do and we feel really bad about messing people about but i would rather that than have a broken land rover, stuck in a flood and a distraught driver who's land rover has just buggered its valves and bent its pushrods because they came to help me.

That kinda water you need a speed boat or such like. If its moving water with the weight of hay on board with no motor dangerous.

Is there no access through fields avoiding any submersion?

I must admit i read it that it was urgent and they had to be seen to asap :(
Wasnt just me then. I even had to go back and read it again
we really need to get the hay through as the stable is out of stock so im sending out an SOS for anyone with a snorkel
No reads urgent to me anorl Minty

If you can wade through it then it can't be 4 ft?

Can we get a decent estimation of depth? No under or over exaggeration, Acctually logical thought?
