Socket near the bonnet hinge!?

Hi,
On my 1998 Discovery xs i have found some electrical plugs near the hinges of the bonnet, Any ideas what these are used for!?

Do they go to the screen or the car's wiring?

I have a heated screen but nothing to plug it into - yet!
