c reg 2.5 n.a with long mot. Been recently rebuild by ACF Tonbridge. Though its got a few minor issues. Ive already changed the wolf roof (which is the wrong one for this roll hoop) with a normal canvas one which is much better. Also its got mr2 front seats and they have put the battery in one of the side lockers. Ill put it all back to original. Managed 400 miles of flat out foot to the floor 65mph driving all the way home and leaks no oil!

just discovered the positive feed to the winch solenoid hadnt been secured and has been flapping around. looks to have been rubbing on the alternator!

am i right in thinking that underneath this security tab is the max fuelling screw?

Ive not checked what this thing is, but its labelled "restrictor" and seems to do something in the inlet? ill whip the inlet hose off tomorrow and see if its connected to anything. If not ill get rid!

last ones a blocked filter warning, if too much vacuum is created a red piston is pulled across and shows in the clear plastic window , very common on agricultural machinery

Mrs Vil even had her first go driving a "defender" today. In preperation for her having her 90.
There were a few moments where i puckered up like a wrinkled prune, but she got the hang of it. She even appeared to enjoy it.
She didnt enjoy getting in it at first onto a wet seat :p

Thought maybe to tow stuff

Where's the battery meant to be on those?

eerrr not when i have a disco 2 or a 110 csw!
Tow with a n/a 110.... no ta!

Battery should be under the seat like every other one, but because they had bodged in a set of mr2 seats they put it in the side locker in order to be able to get to it easier.
Ill sort it though.

Well i removed the security cover off the max fuel adjuster and wound it in one turn. Its got a bit more grunt and running slightly smoother. Also i managed to cruise at 70 to work in it today! Before it was a bit of a struggle to get it up to that.

well im going to "militarise" it a bit more, sort out some of the bodge they have done,

Commuted to Whitehaven in it yesterday though with no issues.

Urgently need the exmoor trim sound deadening one piece mat thingy. God its deafening! And to replace the felt channel seal on the window nearest me. CLANK CLANK CLANK all the time! RRAAAAHHH

Going to put the wolf hood back on, but raise the hoops so that it fits properly.

I have a spare 1.4 ratio transfer box in the workshop that i think i will fit also. The 1.6, although great round town, is just too much for commuting with.

im unsure to be honest. I dont know if i do a tdi conversion if i am going to cause it to devalue.
I do quite like it being really REALLY simple, anything that breaks will be pretty easy to sort.

I added a snow cowl last night, and replaced the gearknob which had been tiger sealed on.... (took some getting off!!!)
Refitted the wolf hood but rolled up the sides. Ive decided summer is here!

Need to fix the heater blower motor as it presently doesnt.... blow.
And I am on the look out for a tidy set of seats to replace the mr2 ones.
Also will be fabricating an extension on the roll cage with a spare wheel mount to hold it internally, and get it it off the bonnet.
