fook off! apple white!

You could paint it camo......

At least Davek0974 and Hughsey or anyone that would like to poo poo snorkels, would not see it, and would not get jelouis and bitter, and have to make silly reasons or comments why we dont need them.

I agree if you got one, it could save you a packet if you happen to suck in water, by your own design or by accident.

Err, i am pretty certain i was in support of people sticking stuff on their motors, but what the heck, whatever.

Yes i can see they are good for deep wading and even shallow wading if you go in at speed, i just couldnt see the point of them being the first thing to get bolted on even before a service or tyres etc which they didnt bother with in the programme, surely tyres are first??

Who'd have thought a simple piece of plastic pipe would cause such an outpouring of emotions. ****in light bars on the roof, they're just as bad. But the one that really makes me wonder about someone's sanity is those ****in stick on tyre tracks. What the hell are they all about?

Well, if i was doing a tv prog (as I mentioned in the OP) about creating a "super offroad vehicle", I would have thought that merely taking a road-going landy and bunging a snorkel on it would not make that much difference. Surely having enough grip to get yourself off the tarmac is a good place to start??

I would have liked to have seen:-
Full service,
Chassis / body check,
Recovery points,
Tyres / brakes,

Then

snorkel,
lights,
winch,
so on....

Thats my personal list of course, i know many on here do some serious offroading so they would know more, there are also some questionable animal practices but i'm not going there:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was merely wondering what the fascination is with a snorkel, especially on motors that live mostly in towns:rolleyes:

as said already.
bling.

same as the winches you see when your in tescos car park, that have obviously never been unspooled.
nearest these get to off road is when she mounts the kerb....
