SLU ball joint removal

Hi all.
I'm replacing the a frame ball joint and it's all apart and the bracket is now swinging just attached to the strut.

My question is how I remove the Bracket from the strut?

Busters guide doesn't have a slu and neither does that diagram. I'd be done otherwise. Will inspect this nut tomorrow! Will the strut not just spin?

More than likely by now the SLU is u/s so might be a good opportunity to remove it all together . :(
