Has anybody made some sort of bed to enable you to sleep in your 90.

I'm planning on getting a roof tent eventually but iv got several other things that need doing first so I wanted to try and make something chapish in the meantime.

It's only going to be for the occasional night every now and again, I kitesurf and skydive so if the weather is good it would be nice to be able to kip in the 90 overnight without driving back home.

I have seen some people make wooden platforms that stretch from the back to the front if you put the front seat down. This could probably be make quite cheap.

But I'm thinking that I could suspend somethig from the roof somehow.
I saw a picture of a lad that had hung a cargo net up but I can't see that being very comfy so I'm thinking maybe some sort of hammock.
You can actually buy a car hammock but it's a really small American company that makes them and they always seem to be out of stock, I think I might attempt to make one myself.

Any ideas?

I actually made a comfy bed in my 90 :D Not that I have had to use it yet, as I don't do camping, but its there if I ever do :D

It was very simple if you have a floor in the back of your 90. I took one of the folding guest beds which you can buy for your house. It has 6 legs and is sprung with a foam mattress.

4 of the legs fit nicely on the floor in the back and it clears the bulkhead. Then you remove the passenger headrest and fold the seat forward. The final two legs go down into the footwell. Obviously they aren't long enough so my friend cut me some metal pipe to extend them.

It only takes a few minutes to set up and folds to fit in the back when not in use. It seemed comfy enough when I tried it for half an hour :D

The downside is you then need to fit curtains to all the windows

Thanks for that, I have seen them while browsing on the internet, I might take some measurements and see if I can get one to fit.
