Diaphragm ordered, now waiting, should be here in a few days, is it a big job or is it easy enough?

Dead easy.

It's a bit small wammers!!!!:D:D

I had a thought the other day, as the valves and rubbers are all lubed with silicone why can't (as a maintenance thing) i spray silicone lude in the air intake of the pump?? (i have pure silicone spray for my embroidery machines) wouldn't that lube it all up and sort out sticky valves etc??

No you must not do that. A slight amount of silicone grease on O rings helps them to seat. But do not spray any lubricant into valve block. O rings work by the air pressure pushing them out to seal the joint. They fail when they get hard and stiff and are no longer elastic. If you get one that's hard and stiff a little lubricant works wonders sometimes.

:angel:i'm a cheeky angel!!!
I'll bet, but seriously if you look at the photo of the NRV you will see the guide cone. This gets worn by constant movement against the valve seat. It gets a lip worn into it. This is what stops the O ring from seating as it then snags on the seat lip. Easy to change but you don't seem to be able to buy new ones anywhere.

I'm gona have a go at overhauling the block if it goes again, but until then i'm leaving it alone. I hate to say it but i maybe selling my beloved RR soon anyway, he's looking a bit tired and worn out, i think he's been worked too hard!!

Ain't that typical you women wear us blokes out wanting constant attention. Then swop us in for a newer model with a harder ride. :p:p
