Hi,

Got myself a 99' Defender the other day, got a good deal on it too from what I have been told! But I have a few questions since it's my first LR.

When I drive it, it feels like I'm driving a lowered Civic on low profile tires, every little bump is felt, even the white line sometimes!! The tire pressure is correct so can't blame it on that.

So I figured it is the shocks that are worn down, but should I change the springs as well now that I'm already at it??? And can I go with a 2" liftkit without problems with my 32", or does that need more modding for that??

Last, what kind of brand/kinda should I go for? I plane to take it into a lot of offroading this summer.

Cheers!

(I did search the place, but didn't find any related results)

If your going to get it lifted then you'll have to change the springs anyway!

Loads of brands on the market, spaning from ludicrously expensive (Old Man Emu) to mid range (Bilstien) to cheaper (Pro Comp).

Grab a copy of Land Rover Monthly, every man and his dog sells complete lift kits at every price point.

Just remember to check your brake lines are long enough.
