Well if that doesn't work, It will be new seats from ebay, not having them rattle about all the time.
Just out of curiosity, what colour leather do you prefer? cream or black... I somewhat miss the cream but don't mind the black.

Mine are cream but quite like the black. Going to need to get seat covers for the winter as the woods gets soo muddy and that plus a 4yo and 2 spaniels = dream seats not lasting long!

I was having that issue too, well not the kid issue but the dog one, I ain't that old lol. I really have to recommend using leather treatment though, I get one at halfords, makes them look great and prevents the leather cracking, easy maintenance.

I fixed the 5cm of play issue in the rear seats.... @neilly @02Disco2

...that was actually causing 40% of the rattling.. along with an improper fitted seatbelt height adjuster, guess I'll have to strip the seats down and see whats going on, or "new" ones from the scrappy.

Priced up new suspension today, New front oil shocks, front springs, spring holder thing and rubber dampers, rear oil shocks, rear airbags and height sensors, a compressor rebuild kit, most expensively a new air pipe harness, err think thats about it.. around the £450 mark... I hope this disco is worth it. Next job is engine and transfer box swap.

Good work!!

Let me know how you get on with the transfer box. My 02 disco is "missing" the diff lock (I lucked out on that one) and I've been thinking about either getting it retro fitted with bits from ashcroft or swapping it.. Would be interested to hear how you get on

Well debating whether the engine/clutch/transfer box is a garage job, otherwise I'll have to pick up a banger to drive round when its off the road as its my only car. Would need to rent an engine hoist too, think garage will do the big parts of the job for about 200 quid, and leave me to do coolant hoses and radiators etc.
I've seen the transfers going for 150 quid on ebay WITH the difflock leaver, just a case of catching one at the right time it seems.

Oh.. is that the time

So what shocks and front springs did you go for?
