Neighbour has a 4.0 litre P38 that's been sitting there for about three years, something up with the EAS. I might offer him peanuts for it (a dead P38 can't be worth much!) and hope I can sort the EAS cheaply. Whadayafink? How much would you offer? No tax, no MOT. Bodywork is very tidy.

Go low..1K see what he says, and when you say 1K to him keep a strait face and say you think there's a lot of expensive work to be done for the eas, (anyway eas can sometimes be dammed expensive) just see what he says, remember you can always give him more, but its hard to come down in price after!!!

Sounds like worth a chance to me, I would offer him £500 for it,in fact if you don't want to take the chance I would offer him that much myself

LIterally, offer him peanuts for it. I'd go dry roasted, but salted may do the trick.

I can't take the pee, I'm a big lad - but he is too - could get messy if he feels insulted!

Gonna try £300, and work up from there. I wouldn't pay more than £500 for it. If he wants more - say £750 or something I'll let you chaps know! It's probably still worth that.
