Haha yeah I should have explained yesterday!

What I have is a 350 and a 400 stroker crank plus a GM/Weiand 6/71 blower plus a cam to match the charger, I'll also be getting heads to match the high flow rates when it goes on

This set up fits better and produces a rather consistent torque curve which rarely drops below 460ft/lbs at the flywheel between 1.5-4k peaking at 550 from the build sheets I've read online

Basically I get the same power as the original 429 but it looks cooler :p and has a better band
 
That's. mental power but I can't begin to think what the point of it all in a landy is :p I had a mate with260hp on a rover v8 and he tended to spin up off road so didn't see any advantage over my 200tdi. Then again the noise will be epic ha ha
 
It's more a case of I can so I will....either that or I rip the small block out, uprate the front springs to 1 tonne spec and fit a big block and aim for the 800ft/lb mark with low comp top end and the blower

Plus when you can outdo chavs in a battered old landy it does make things funny round town ;) that and the fire spitting straight through pipes :D it'll sound like the reapers coming to harvest you ;) the guy said his one on the headers sounded demonic

The guy I bought it off had a 351 and 302 Windsor, the 351 was going in a mk1 escort too, that things going to shift. Mated up to a BW T5 and custom rear axle

Some make power through fancy ecu settings and tuning, I prefer simplicity! No replacement for displacement ;)

I can get hold of a 572 block if I really want to go silly! But that'll be once I make up a new chassis as a standard rover one will not handle that much chassis twisting power :D

too many threads on same subject..catch you on v8 engine bity..
 
Somehow it seems the dr evil v8 ****storm is finally starting to see sense and when engines are running it can only mean progress, sure I'm not along in thinking it's been a long time coming :p
