Yeah it does look good but I'm still going to finish off the king cab then use that instead as I do prefer the practicality aspect.

Just need an infill plate as theres a small gap or just to make one up as well as the internal mounts but it does look good now

Got the series front axle off today and made a start on fitting the new one, realised I need new U bolts as my old ones are a little short for the new axles which have deeper spring seats

Also the diff in the front had four teeth missing on the spider gear



Lots of seized bolts on the flanges......eventually just attacked with the grinder as I could reach most of them

unneeded hassle!

Yeah, U bolts aren't a big problem will get some cheap and I have a spare diff in the right ratio that I want!

On a side note does anyone have a 4.7 diff knocking about ? I has one but it looks like I've got 3.54 diffs in this so need another one :doh: I want low gearing!

So if anyone fancies a swap for the rear diff I'll be happy to! Gonna strip it out tomorrow if I get a chance and make sure its got all its teeth but hopefully should be ok

I will have at the end of the month once me disco axles go on. The gearing is going to be way to low with the V8

Bring them up for me will you we'll do a swap on the night before we go laning


Nah 1.2 transfer and the 35's should make it about right!

I wont be wanting to spin those 35's! Very expensive to replace

Maybe a rolling road would be in order when its done!!

Possibly! It wont be going very fast but the torque output should be high!

Got the front axle 3/4 fitted.......U bolt on the inner side on drivers wont quite reach the spring plate as the range rover axle is a little taller there so new U bolt I need (one rear one for the front axle) will be here weds

I'm also off to play with the plasma cutter on weds too so will hopefully have a finished bell housing adaptor sorted. Tomorrow is rear axle and then begin to strip the engine down if I have the time

come to the conclusion, that your too used to uni, with all this stripping down and reassembling lark, then doing it all over again

anyway, why aren't you at uni, as you seem to be spending a lot of the daytime dismantling and reassembling?

only had an hour today, hour tomorrow too as its a mini test instead of a lecture means more revision tonight though

no, full time just not many modules this year

he's probably meant to study in the spare time
