Series III Gearbix issue

Im looking at buying my first Landy. Its got a slight gearbox issue by all accounts. It would appear to jump out of third gear now and again, if the overdrive is on. Im trying to find out if it still does it if overdrive is off.

Anyway, Im wondering what the issue could be, could the overdrive be on the way out, or the gearbox. Any other ideas? Many Thanks, JMF.

Sounds like a worn gearbox to me. If the car is OK, a gearbox will cost about £500 odd to get someone else to put in, so bid that much less. Then account for the clutch & bits too.
