my disco 200tdi (complete with turbo and intercooler) is slotted into my 88" bitsa (my daily driver/hooligan tool, greenlaner and pay and play idiot machine)...

to assist with stopping the front pulley (cast iron one) hitting the front axle tube i used 4 of the big shock absorber washers (top of shockers washers), one above and one below both the engine rubbers (petrol mounts)which gave me about a 7mm lift to the engine...

i then took the front pulley to my lathe

before (where it had hit the axle casing)

and after

as you can see i turned the whole of the rear Vee off and took just a couple of mm off the front lip, i've since crashed and bashed it around pits without any contact, no extended bumpstops or shackles, just on parabolics, no moving of engine mounts at all

i turned my 200 intercooler upside down so i could stagger the radiator and intercooler
Picture004.jpg

i also cut about an inch off the new top connection to allow clearance around the radiator for the connecting pipe

i'm doing a 109 now and i'll be using a 300tdi intercooler on this one i think, but not sure as i haven't got away from reattaching all the bits to the bulkhead yet (i might be keeping the radiator and intercooler in a straight line on this one rather than staggering it)
