Yea, must have. Not to worry, i'm going to get a friend to bore out the engine, put new plating in (forgotten the name) and revert back to original engine size, as it's bored out +040 now i thinkHell fire! Your battling on a bit aint ya. The poor old thing wont know whats hit it.
I've played with a few old engines over the years but never seen pitting like that. Must have had a hard life.

Although if you're doing a restoration, I think it would be good to return it to its original colour- it looks like it was a sand colour before being painted green.
