the owner of my local garage has had a series 2a parked around the back for years and every time I have asked him about it he reckoned he was going to get it back on the road. When i went down there today to pick up my car he said that if I still wanted it he would sell it.
Its a 109" truck cab, not sure of the year (its on a p plate, but he said its ex military and that was the reg is was given after it was demobbed) the chassis is completely shot and the bulkhead isn't brilliant, but it has a good engine (2.25 petrol) and gearbox,no overdrive. it fired up first time with fresh petrol and battery. It needs a load of work to get it back on the road and I'm not sure its really worth it, but that doesn't stop me wanting to do it!!! :)
Anyways he said £200 takes it away, is it worth it or better left for the scrap man??

Given that the chassis is shot...and the bulkhead dodgy...then the 200 quid is neither here nor there really...is more a question of whether you want to do it or not?????

Other than that....:nopics: :D

What you are really saying is, "I have been offered a log book an engine, gearbox, axles and a few body panels for £200." The answer is yes it's worth £200 but the real question is, do you want it?

yep deffo worth £200 in parts alone.... would cost a fair amount to put right and you might not get your money back if you came to sell. but its a blank canvas for you to do whatever you want....
