Im looking for a replacment carb for my 2.25 series 2a the fuel feed pipe threads have stdipped out of my carb whats the best thing to replace it with?

Weber 34ICH are ok, if you can be bothered fabricating a throttle cable and air feed DMTL32/34 as fitted to defenders give more power _and_ better economy. If you're flush you could go for an SU from ACR. Or you could just fix the current one? You might be able to bore out the threads?

I gave seversl su carbs with the right needle and jet I could give that a go I like the webber but cant afford itd price tag the metsl in the carb has jyst pasded it I dont ghink it would stand to being bored think ill have a look at an su set seen as I allready have some

Bit controversial this but i personally would give a Zenith copy a try.
I have on my FFR a Allmakes 36IV Copy which was abut £40 shipped and apart from a few poor quality brackets and clips has been spot on for about 6 months use.
I didnt expect much but for 40 quid it has been a good buy.

I had one and it was poorly made; accelerator pump was faulty from the get go. But they are cheap. The weber is a quality carb and only £100 which is fair I reckon. If you get a decent zenith copy then all good.
