Seatbelts alternatives

Firstly Happy New Year!

Now - down to business...

Anybody know if these universal seatbelt kits fit Defenders (tdi).

Reason being...almost spent my budget on this thing - way quicker than had hoped.

Spotted some universal kits on Ebay and they look similar. Do they all fit the same or what?

Friend installed this one into his kitcar and has been very impressed. For the money thinking of having a punt as although I know they are vital and important...the Land Rover ones are hardly state of the art yet quite a bit more than these, especially since I need everything as its all knackered!

One problem might be the point that the socket ends on theLR ones are on an upright rigid cable thing ( for want of a better description )

These would be on the floor all the time when not being used, a PITA to find in the dark.

I bought one of these to replace my front passenger seatbelt and it was perfect:

Same make but sightly different model.

yes they do fit got 2 on mine but you need the solid buckle version

Ah, that's what the difference is. I did wonder. The one I linked to on ebay is the solid version.

I need to buy a set of seatbelts, well I only need the buckles actually, being a silly c*nt I sold my spare set of belts/buckles :doh: Another chuffing expense.

I fitted disco 3 point rears in the front of the 110 with the disco receivers which are on fabric fittings, did the job perfectly and not too dear from a breaker

Bought the Securon ones since that's a few of you that have fitted them with no complaints.

Didn't even think about the rigid arm!!! Thanks for mentioning - went for that.

Just thought I'd let you guys know - just after ordering found the Securon 500 30 seatbelts in old Military Land Rover stock so there ya go. The Military use them too.
