Hi!

Guys, can someone tell me what would be fair price for used, but good cond Disco1 gearbox in UK?
Is any one here who would like to sell one?

K.r. ;)

Which one?

LT77 or R380?

UK is a big place shipping can be expensive on something that heavy!

Hi,
I'm not familiar with these numbers. I need 300tdi gearbox preferably with transfer box.
I'm not from UK so for me shipping will be expencive anyway.

Where is your reverse?

Currently it's on the left, but I was advised by a friend to get 300td gearbox (reverse on the right), I was told it's better.

Would be odd for a 300Tdi to have an LT77 but possible.

If you want the R380 then that's what you want along with an LT230 transfer case.

Look on eBay, they can calculate shipping an everything for you.

But why not get your original boxes rebuilt?

Things have changed since than. Changed significantly. 30 EUR per hour for most primitive mechanic labour..

Jesus wept, might as well emigrate there then, UK is going down the pan and the politicians are killing the country, if the money is getting that good there and the property is as cheap as it was within reason then I ought to pack!!!

30 EUR You pay to shop. Mechanic maybe get's around 7-9 after taxes, but that still is a lot for LV. Hard to get good workers here now, too many have gone to UK, Denmark and everywhere else.
My work is partly export to UK - tough to do it now, when the pound is so weak. Who knows what will ahppen after brexit. :D

Hourly rates here are 9 to 10 after tax unless in construction then a lot more but tax man does his best to fleece you.

I liked it there, well, 15yrs ago it was still very rural and made me feel very at home, some gorgeous women and the fellas were hard as fook!!!
