After readin this thread I have come to the conclusion that I am a proper tight arse. I mean it wouldn't have occured to me to spend 400 of your english pounds on a ****in bumper, then consider spending a few more hundred because it's got a bit of rust on it.

I understand you want it to look nice. Doesn't a winch bumper kind of expect to get damaged during the normal course of events though? Seems like a lot of money to spend for aesthetic reasons I'd me more interested in the thickness of the tubing and the quality of the welds. The finish is kind of expected to get ragged to bits in normal use.

The fabrication is good as is the steel (4mm) but the finish is shocking.
Scars are par for the course but its not "battle" thats caused it, that i would live with, its **** workmanship. I mistakenly thought a Scorp one was gonna be a good un at the time

I bought a cheap **** one at billing a couple of years back and the powder coating starting coming off about 6 months later, i kinda expected it though. I will be taking it back to bare metal and painting it properly when the 90 gets rebuilt. Never liked powder coating anyway it always chips off
