I've got a series three to sort out.
The dash is in lots of pieces, and they are not good pieces.
Most bits have seen better days, the instrument panel is cracked, other bits damaged or missing altogether.
What are my best options ?
Try to find good used bits.
Try to repair what is there by plastic welding or whatever method works best ?
Or try to hunt down new parts, whether they be genuine or pattern ?
This vehicle is never going to be a show vehicle so I don't want to be spending thousands on parts.
I'm not really a series three person, so I really haven't been bothered to keep up with developments like true S3 enthusiasts would have done.

Depends on where you are in the country..

Look for the next Newbury 4x4 sale
I might just have to do that if things get desperate.
A 270 mile round trip, probably ten gallons of diesel, so that's £65 gone before I've bought anything.
Only worth doing if I'm going to save myself a truck load of cash there.
My last trip to Newbury was travelling in the back of a series three diesel about thirty years ago.
Nearly froze my nuts off, and didn't really get any of the things I wanted.

Well ventilated with a fart of a heater.🤣 Yep been there looking like an Eskimo wearing my artic coat. Normally after a long journey you're deaf as a post from the droning road wheels and a screaming gearbox. Last thing you want was the atmosphere on a downpour🤨

I keep finding stuff like this
"This is a remanufactured unit not an original Land Rover unit restored "
WTF ?
Anyway, at £700 it's more than I'd pay or the guy who actually owns the vehicle wants to pay.
By the time you've bought all the other bits probably £2,500 + ???
Personally I'd break the thing for spare parts and buy a viable 2A project with the proceeds.
